Kevin:
Don't know of one at this time, but have seen several on Ebay through the years and even bought one for my '56 through them. Another thought is to try a local electric motor rebuilder, Although electric motors use AC and yours is DC, they are very similar and a rebuilder may be able to help you.

Or take the motor to a good parts store that has some gray hair behind the counter. They should be able to match it up by comparing various dimensions, or at least come up with something close enough to work.

Two days ago I went to an "OReally's" (yeah should have known better) and I tried asking a so called gray hair if they had any argent paint and he asked me back "what's that" with a dumb look. That doesn't always work. The best help I get is from some young guys who work my local NAPA.

Thanks guys. I can take it to a re-builder and may end up doing that but just thought I'd see if there might be something readily available. DJ, were you trying to find some argent silver at Slorielly's? Kevin

About $150.00 will buy one from the T-Bird catalogs. It should work on your car.

I've bought 12V motors from NAPA to replace 6V heater motors. I'm sure they have them in 6v also. I just used their Napaonline catalog and searched.

Good Sunday afternoon everyone! I thought I'd give an update on this project. The source I ordered this motor from told me that they were on back order and the last time they got one was 2011, so I did a lot of research and shopping. It's amazing how these motors are anywhere from $79.95 to $150 which is crazy. I found a place that sold it to me for $58.00 and you know they aren't selling it without making some profit. Also found out that you can get the motor locally at Orielly and the same motor fits a 60-62 country squire. Kevin
