thanks for the help guys.  I don't really want to buy a complete set since I have already installed just about everything and gotten new hardware for those pieces. I will grab my calipers and check the depths. I just wasn't sure if there was any hidden secrets to this like there was in other spots like on the intake manifold. Don't want to build a complete engine just to have something go wrong because I used too long of a bolt somewhere.

Thanks again guys. I guess sometimes the simplest idea is the best.

Evan,
Use your dial calipers to check the depth. There are several different covers and bolt lengths within those covers. Don't forget the water pump when you measure.

Hey there everybody,

I am just about to finish up the rebuild on my 1959 292. I am running into problems with hardware almost every time I go to install anything though.

I have been able to replace just about everything, except the timing cover bolts.  It appears that there are a couple different lengths for the front cover.
I have searched several different sources, but cannot seem to find anything that gives sizes and/or lengths for these bolts.

Does anybody know or know where I can find the sizes and lengths for the front cover bolts?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
