Hey all! I must be blind, cause I can't find the search function!! What I need is a pic of the mouse trap throttle linkage on a 57 t-bird with dual quads. I have a vehicle in the shop that someone else has already hacked up, and I need to make this thing right. I have no kick down at the trans due to this linkage being completely jacked up. Anyone have a good pic?? Thanks in advance for the help.

The search function is the little symbol that looks like a "magnifying glass", at least on the iPad. You might also repost this as "Throttle linkage". Mouse trap looks like the odd spam we get, which mostly doesn't get opened.

Here’s some info on this sites search function. Once you open up the ‘Explore’ tab at the upper left of the screen, then use the ‘hard to see’ scroll bar on the right side of the pop-up window to move to the bottom of the list where you’ll find the search function. If entering more than one search term, be sure to pick ‘all terms’ located a bit lower in the window.

If you go to concoursparts.com, open the catalog, and go to page 75 (which shows as page 77 on my computer for some reason), you'll find the bell crank assemblies. The only part listed for the E code is a spring. But the pictures may help, and it sounds as if you might need the parts anyway. I haven't worked on a Fordo since the 60's, so I don't remember much. But there's something about blocking the bell crank open (1/8" bit in two holes when they line up?) to set the kick down. There's at least a couple guys on here with current E set ups, maybe they'll chime in if you post for " E code throttle linkage" .

Thanks. Appreciate that.
I talked to a guy out by me that rebuilds these transmissions, and he said the kick down linkage adjustment is critical. I think I have it figured out now, but i'm gonna have to regineer it to make it work with the dual quad Edelbrocks they put on it. Nothing about the current set-up is right.

You guys hiding Search for some reason?? Rest assured that the search function is not being hidden on purpose. That’s simply where it was with the new software version that was installed. If I had access to the code, I would definitely move the ‘Search’ function to the top of the explore list rather than having it at the bottom where it is out of sight. To compound the problem, the scroll bar for the 'Explore' window is also hard to see.
