While driving around this weekend, my clutch pedal hit the floor and stayed.  The pedal linkage had come unattached at the z-bar. In trying to reattach the linkage, I find the z-bar has a little twist to it, and the pedal linkage does not match up to the bar in parallel. I have put a hitch pin through the hole, but it doesn't look like a long term fix. My service manual is not clear on what to use for the pin (cotter, hitch, or something else).
Does anyone have experience with this and is my z-bar aligned correctly with the pedal linkage?  The pedal linkage attaches to the z-bar on the motor side. Thanks in advance!

Check for a broken motor or transmission mount.
