Thanks Paul I had to do something similar to my 32 Tudor sedan , but wondered what dealers did to accommodate customers that were height challenged in a later model Fords? Regards Jim

I can't help with the seat height, but the seat in my 54 was too low. I got some 1 x 1 1/2" flat stock in aluminum (you only need about a 12 inch piece cut into 3 inch pieces) and put it under the tracks. Drilled holes and with longer bolts, the height is now just right. You would be surprised how much even one inch changes the perspective. I used the 1 1/2 side for under the old rails.

I have not received my Shop Manual yet and have a question: The front seat in my 56 seems very low. Does anyone know if the dimension for the seat height? I suspect that the former owner was rather large and somehow lowered the seat. Thanks Jim
