How much AOD's throttle cable moves from shut position to WOT?

I dont have that carb shaft (or carb) and I forgot that dimension when I made the linkage version number 3.

Some say that it must move 1/1 with tranny side shaft.

According to what I've read you start with the throttle in the wide open position and adjust the TVI cable so it's also all the way forward. Once you've done that check to see if you have about 5/16" slack in the TVI cable at idle. You also need to put a oil pressure gauge on the port on the passenger side of the transmission. Minimum pressure at idle is 5lbs. With a 5/16" spacer holding the cable tight the pressure should go up significantly There are several sights online but usually people refer to the TCI transmissions page for directions. Chuck.

Its the reason I keep thinking the GM tranny is the better choice.

Thanks for quick responses.
I have TCI Streetfighter tranny but Im not sure is there constant pressure valve body in it.
TCI is quite vague in their instructions.

Hmm...

So if both end must move in 1/1, why transmission side is not moving 90 degree like butterfly axle in carb side?
Is there so much loose on idle side?
I just cant believe it.

If both ends in same speed carb side shaft must be 2.25 inch long
Somewhere in mustang forum is said that shaft is 1.125 inch what sounds better to me.
