Installing 0.25 inch wheel spacers on the front of a 1956 Fairlane with drum brakes to accommodate a new set of radial tires. I would like to also install longer wheel studs to accomplish this. I think the original wheel stud is 1.5 inches long and would like the new studs to be 1.75 to 2 inches long (long enough to fully seat the lug nut). Any info on where to get these longer wheel studs and the correct size and specifications would be greatly appreciated.

Forgive my ignorance but Why do you need the spacers for radial tires? I put radials on my 55CV and they fit just fine. I even have much lower coils on it.

Around here, most big tire stores have them, as do most auto parts stores. Untrained people with an impact wrench strip a lot of them. Press an old one out and take it with you. Ask to see the box, and avoid offshore stuff.

You should be able to get longer studs through Jegs or Summitt.  Racers use longer studs and those companies should stock them.

I have true wire wheels - not stock rims - and clearance between my 670x15 bias ply tires and the upper control arm ball joint is less than 0.25 inch. Even if I installed the same 670x15 new tire, I would want to move the tire out to get more clearance, so I am installing the spacers and I want longer studs to get all of the lug nut seated.

Any parts store should have them, you can use amer to remove the old ones.

in a situation like this how do you guys deal with the "hubcentric / lugcentric" issue ?
 
I'm using a 1/2" spacer on the front to give clearance for a disc brake conversion so I am effectively lug centric. with no issues. I have since discovered people who make spacers with a stub to restore hub centric.  any comments?

Any parts store which carries Dorman parts can supply what you want . They can look up the stock one to get the proper end where it fits the hub and then look up longer ones with that end. I've done it for an early Pontiac. If you get the part # they would be available in larger quantities on the net. Good luck
