I  have an old Klaxon 6v round face pancake horn that I would like to put in my 55 Fairlane. The car has been converted to 12v. What gage wire do I need. Do I have to put a reducer. I have a button. Do I need a fuse, what size. Do I wire it up to the Battery or Selenoid. I know this doesn't really pertain to Y Block issues. I've searched on line but can't good answers. Any info would be great. Have yourselves a good FORD day.

I don't know about your car, but when I converted the 'bird to 12 volts, I left the horn relay and horn as it was. The relay will live for a bit on 12 volts, and the horn is really loud. Now, if you lean on it for minutes at a time, you'll cook the horn or relay. But for the short tap, it'll be fine. My seat motors and relays are still 6 volt, and they've been fine for almost 20 years.
