Morning Folks
I've just purchased a new Ford 9"  and would welcome comments/ suggestions on installation in a 56 f100. (street use, no drag racing)
My existing setup seems to be    motor/ gearbox = 4* down,   driveshaft = 1.5* down,   pinion = 5* up.
What bugs me is how much leaf spring wrap up can I expect?  I've seen as much as 6* quoted but this may be at the drag strip not street.
I am thinking to aim for    motor/gearbox  = 3* down,  driveshaft = see how it falls,   pinion = 1*  up.
Assuming the driveshaft falls at the 1.5* figure I don't think I would be over working the UJs  and there would be 2* pinion climb to come //
with the gearbox O/P shaft.     What do you think?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
The starting point has to be parallel transmission / pinion.  Depending on how the driveshaft lines up I think I will drop the pinion 1- 2 degrees
There's also the added complication of the pinion being offset 1" to the passenger  side.
Thanks again
