I am going to try that style.

A T-Bird pan might work.  The sump can be about 9" long, from the back.  How long is the T-Bird sump?  For the time being, I'm not doing anything with the pan.  I think I can make what I have work.

Charlie, will a Tbird pan fit your truck without interfering with your tie rods? It holds 6 qts of oil instead of 5. If it will fit that may be a consideration instead of spending a lot on modifying the truck pan. Just a thought.

Charlie, notice the pickup screen set up inside the pan, it looks much less restrictive than the one in your truck. If that one will fit your truck pan I would give the one you've shown a try.

Thank you, those are perfect.

To answer the question, is it the same as a truck?  No, it is not.

I'm looking for pictures of a T-Bird oil pickup tube, from several different angles.  Pictures of it installed in an oil pan will be useful, too, if possible.  Can anyone help?
