I  have the original Ford instructions for installing seat belts in 1955 and 1956 passenger and Thunderbird cars.  They are posted on my website:

https://classiccarradiodoctor.com/fordseatbelts.htm

That should be the info you need.

Good luck,

I installed Seat belts in mine without benefit of the Illustrations. Looking at the Illustrations now I am not far off correct Locations. I used Gr. 8 Nuts, Bolts,
and correct Size Flat Washers with a second oversize Flat washer on the underside of Floor. I assume they are as well installed as the original would have been. Hope I never have to find out. I also installed Rear Seat Belts.

Hi all

a fellow y-blocker sent this to me some time ago - it's seat belt instructions for '52-'56 Fords.  The resolution of the document isn't great, but hopefully it will help.  Let me know if the document does not come through and I can email it to you.

Thanks Glasstop. Is the 2-1/2" round washer attached to the body floor in anyway( spotweld) or is it part of the sandwich of the attachment bolt? Thanks.

I checked my 1956 Club sedan the holes for the seat belts are located as follows,on the right side of the car  7 1/2 back from inches from the rear hole where the seat would mount is  one hole, 15 inches across would be the second hole. Under the car there is a 21/2 inch washer on the bolt that is put through the floor. The washer is about 3/16 thick. I hope you understand its a bit hard for me to explain .
