Oldmics, Are the dampers in good shape? I spun the damper on my 56 and been contiplating getting mine refurbished. My 56 is currently in the tranny shop getting a rebuild, so I might have to wait until I pay that bill! OUCH! Let me know what you want for one, and will you ship it to Canada? Thanks. Rob

And don’t forget the oil pan. The Tbird pan was a rear sump and the Ranchero is a front sump like the cars.

I just put some passenger car dampners and a pulley on eBay. If you would like to swap your Bird dampner and pulley for my passenger car stuff let me know and I"ll cancel the auction. Think I have a fan also. Oldmics

Sparky, Frank's right and seems like the Gen. bracket will have to be passenger too. But don't trash the tbird stuff, you can get decent money from the tbird guys for it! Especially if it has a bird Harmonic balancer. You can find an assortment of aftermarket fans to fit also.

Sparky, If you can find a pass car damper and the pulleys and use those instead of the T'Bird stuff you'll have more clearance for the radiator. The Bird pulleys and belts and the generator all were forward on the engine for motor mount and suspension (?) clearance. Not needed on the Rancho.

I'm sticking a 57 Tbird engine in my 57 Ranchero, what is the purpose of removing the 1 inch spacer behind the water pump? I assume its a clearance issue. How does the water pump pulley line up with the crank pulley? I don't have wp pulley, fan, or spacer, do these have to come from a Y block or will something else work?
