in canada pickups and cars still had flatheads. 55 was 256 and 272s

Paul: My factory truck parts book lists engine parts, notably pistons, for 256 engines, 3 5/8 bore, for both '54 and '55. I have a 256 that came from my son's '54 dump truck. I don't know if it's the original. If I remember correctly, the block casting is an EBV number. If you need to know for sure, I'll go out to my cold barn and check.

Was the 256 an option in Ford Trucks in either 54 or 55?
