Sorry if this has already been answered but I can not find how to do a keyword search on here only a page number.

I have a 59 Edsel.  It has a 292 in it.  What I don't know is how to identify it.

I followed the shop manual to take the oil pan out but it will not come out.  Seems a bit too big to clear the cross member.  Also the oil pan has an inch and an eighth drain nut (seems rather big).
The block also has two dipstick tubes.  One on the front and another on the side of the block mid way that someone long ago pinched off.  It is not to the tranny.

So what am I looking at?
