Hi all,
My new engine is going in the weekend. I am getting help from my brother-in-law who is a professional mechanic but I am trying to do my part, even if it is feeble.
I have a high rise Mummert intake with a quick fuel 4 barrel carb. Does anyone have suggestions on ways to modify the existing carb linkage (272 with a 2 barrel) or replace with something readily available, hopefully without a lot of modifications?

I put a C4 in my 56 Bird (312). You will need a 4bbl linkage setup.. I don't know what the carb is like, but at the either the carb or at the rod of from the linkage that goes to the carb may have to be modified. to make everything hook up.
As far as the kickdown is concerned, I used the stock kickdown rod but had to lengthen it and adapt an end that would fit the C4 shift arm. This is better done before the engine/trans goes in so you have room to see what needs to be done and make the modifications. As far as the C4 shift arm is concerned, the arm that sticks up is used for a floor shift, while the arm the sticks down for column shift. I am not familiar with the column shift setup on a sedan so I don't know if the above is true in your situation
