I bought my disk brake conversion from CASCO for my 57 Bird. All the parts including master cyl and new rear wheel cylinders included. Installed per directions with NO surprises. I also bought the mechanical brake light switch too. One stop shopping and everything fit. J

For headers try out this site - Al Frakes put a set of these on his bird and they look like the "real deal". The steady rest mounting is truly trick. http://www.fordpowertrain.com/

You should get an answer on the headers. I know they are available for the T-Bird. As far as the disc brake conversion I used a Lincoln Versailles set up on mine. They require no drilling of the ball joints and bolt in on th 55-56 Ford. Do you share the same ball joints? Chuck
