Hello All,I wanted to share this with my fellow y-block enthusiasts.I was at a local show yesterday with my 56 Fairlane.86 cars in attendance. Two of those were extremely rare Y-block cars. One was a 1955 Meteor Crown Vic.I spoke to the owner for quite a while. He purchased the car in 1978 from the original owner. It had sat in a barn since 1962.Very likely the reason it was still restorable. Most cars up here don't survive our winters.Motor was seized and some work required on rear quarters but otherwise complete. When I checked 1956Ford.com they showed production numbers of only 151 with no glasstops.I would think perhaps 5% survival rate left in existance. The other car was a 1956 Mercury Monarch Richelieu convertible. This was another Canadian model with 179 produced and only 12 known to exist today.A really impressive car.Apparently it was in USA when current owner purchased it and bought it home to Canada. One of these sold recently at an auction for $123,000.Anyway I thought I was very fortunate to see these two cars up close.Just thought I would share.Regards Mark
