You could possible temp rig the seatbelts to the seat bolts at the rear. They just check to make sure they are there. I know some folks don't want to put them in for purity sake. Although you could get optional seatbelts "back in the day". Chuck in NH

You have to have a coolant catch can and seat belts.  It doesn't have to be anything fancy, though.

Are the other rules that you have to have seat belts and overflow tank on the radiator hooked up apply, or can I be lazy and get by without them.

Got mine reserved!  And a lot of work to do between now and then.

Don't know about brochures but Y-block Magazine and Legendary Ford Magazine had write-ups about it.  One or both of those will give you an Idea what's going on.

It's an NMRA (National Mustang Racing Association) Ford Expo event but anything Ford powered is accepted.  There are a few smaller special interest type events - The Y-block shootout is one of them.  You are not limited to racing only in the Y-block shootout.  You can race with the other cars too.  Most do both.  Whether you are racing or watching, you'll have fun.

Guys:

One more note.  As Bob Martin said in his latest report in YBM, it's not too early to reserve your motel rooms.  Gordon Payne, Pegleg Rice, and myself have ours reserved.  Did it in May.  Be sure to mention NMRA races and Ford EXPO when you talk to the motel, or they will probably tell you they are already full.

Jerry:

The track will have minimal safety rules the cars have to comply with.  The Y Block rules are really tough, it has to be Y block powered. Period.  Oh, we have accepted 430 MEL and Lincoln V12 powered cars in the past.  The biggest rule of the event is that we have FUN for 3 days.
