The positive side goes to the hot lead from the ignition switch/ resistor. The negative (minus) side is attached to the distributor.

There are no dumb questions - only dumb answers from time to time!Tongue I've almost got my PVC upgrade and "B" intake with new carb (and linkage for the Fordo!) finished. We'll see how it turns out.
