Ford used to and probably still do have Cross Reference printed Catalogs, Microfiche, and I guess CD's now. The Stamping or known # is listed along with the actual Part #. Many Ford Parts have a manufacturers # on them. If the actual Part # was missing off the Box or perhaps the Sticker fell off the Partsman could cross reference the stamping # and get Part #. I just sold a Quantity of about 40  cross reference Micro Fiche on Ebay.

No digital copies have to find physical copies and I don't have enough of them I just started collecting them.  I got two volumes from two different years but there were multiple volumes for each year as they updated the part numbers.

Sounds like You have the OSI Catalogs? Obsolete-Supercede-Interchange. Original Part #'s that have been updated or no longer available from Ford.

Yep I got two of the OSI`s.  One is from 1964 I think it is and the other one is from 1955 but I am still on the hunt for the other volumes with the hopes of finding out more about the '56 trim ring part number.

B6A-6404145 without the suffix those either came off a 55-56 64A body type or a 56 64C body type.

64A : Crown Victoria Solid Top
64C : Fairlane Victoria

the 6404145 number isnt shown but once as a part number in my sun visor bracket section of my parts and illustration guide so odds are it was for a Fairlane either a Victoria or a Crown Victoria but I cant be more specific as the AW suffix is not one used.

Yes the numbers and the letters are cast into the part. Thanks for going to all the trouble of researching the number for me . I need to know what car the brackets came off of.

Hello does anyone have a parts book to tell me what car this fits B6A6404145-AW   ,it is a sun visor bracket  thank you

Where are You getting that #? If its actually cast into the Part is is a manufacturing  ID # not an actual Part #.

Could be where the AW is coming from.  I have the rest of the part number listed under sun visor brackets but not a AW suffix.

Ok I have looked, I don't see that exact number are you sure that is correct?

Closest I can find is B6A-6404145-DP or B6A-6404145-BP.  How ever I can tell you B6A-6404145 is the left hand bracket and they are paint to match.

Going to try something else going to see if I can find a listing for sun visor mounting brackets that come with the sun visor, that could be its own part number.  But as it stands just for the sunvisor bracket itself there is no AW suffix part number listed.
