Got my 312 stripped apart.

Can anyone here supply me with the correct manifold studs & nuts etc?

When I connect up the exhaust they are likely to break.

Mine are original and very weak. The thread is likely to be American & not a UK thread.

I need 4 as per original. Cash waiting.

Thanks guys.

Comrade,

Best idea might be to get all of them, and yes they're SAE threads (American) everything on the car is, or was Standard American. We never used Witworth, and the metric stuff began around 1980 or so, much later than the MERC.

You might want to contact Mummert and get fastners for the heads, rods and mains while you're at it. Cheap insurance.

I was assuming you were asking for the studs that connect the manifolds to the exhaust header pipes??

Pegleg made me start thinking maybe I assumed wrong?? I don't quite understand what "get all of them" means. There are only four studs on the exhaust manifolds.

The part numbers that I gave you are for the studs, washers and BRASS nuts that connect the manifolds to the exhaust header pipes.

Thanks. For now it is just the 4 studs required to attach the exhaust to the manifold.

The parts quoted above, dont appear to be in stock at Concoiurs.com. Only the lock washers.

I put them all on the quick order form & they came up as not available.

Got any other avenues I can try.

As for other SAE nuts/bolts I can probably get those here. Its just the 4 studs & nuts I need from a specialist.

Thanks.

Paul,

Again try Mummert, or Dennis Carpenter or Mac's. Or get new BOLTS at your auto parts store. The studs are easier to use but the bolts with lock washers will also work. I also mean the manifold to block. Brass nuts on the Mfld to headpipe studs are absolutely the best answer, you can also probably find those at the parts store. May have to order them in the UK though. Won't fit on a Mini.

Paul,

Also try Tee-Bird Products ( www.tee-bird.com ). They list them. Also try Larry's ( www.larrysbird.com ).

And of course Mummert ( www.ford-y-block.com/ ) as Peg Leg suggested.
