Anyone know what mods need to be made to a stock 57 air cleaner (4 barrel) to get it to fit an Edelbrock performer series (500 cfm) carb? I am currently running a smooth chrome filter, but would like more of the original look.

I'm running a stock air cleaner on my 57 T-Bird with AFB carb. Only had to make a spacer ring about 1/2 -5/8 high to lift the air cleaner and still retained clearance to the hood. Worked for me, and may be all you would need.

Throttle body injected Camaros and Firebirds between '88 and '92 have a spacer ring, about 1" tall to lift the air cleaner housing. One of those will be easy to modify as you need.

I installed an Edelbrock Performer on my '62 292 and the stock air cleaner pretty well fit right back on. The only thing I had to do was adjust the fuel line a bit since the Edelbrock fuel comes in on the right rear vs. the left front on the stock Autolite.

AJ - it looks like a nice setup. I did not have a 4 barrel on the motor before I installed a B intake and an Edelbrock carb, and the previous 2 barrel was the small Stromberg type, so the neck was the not the right size anyway. Thanks for the info...
