The set I got earlier this summer came from "ROCK AUTO" - they were tubular, Sealed Power part number RP3022. Sold in "bulk" by the part - now shown at $2.17 each (were $1.60)

They were listed for the '64 x 292 engines .....and also for the '56 x 272 engines - maybe a mistake?

Nominal length is shown as 8.34 inches - they were an exact match for the solid pushrods in my '56 bird engine and it had the splash shields in place.  

Al Frakes was telling me that the Isky "Rev-Kit" lifters he got with his cam were 3/8 diameter - the Sealed Power parts are 5/16. To keep the weoight down - they must be pretty thin-walled tubing.

I bought a set a couple months ago, they had NAPA labels stuck on the end of TRW/Sealed Power boxes.  Looks like they are destined to become a one source part.  That's OK as long as they are available.

hey, in MN dealing with head problems and a broken valve spring I replaced all 16 pushrods from my local NAPA. the box right here is Melling Engine Parts # MPR-73. made in good ol usa with production code of july 07 hope this is any help to someone

FYI to everybody regaurding push Rods. My local NAPA dealer told me he can't get them anymore. seems to be discontinued. Hopefully their not. I was able to get 12 and I'm getting the other 4 from Checker believe it or not. They said they were able to get them from one of the other stores back East somewhere.

           thanks for the info. and part numbers. Now that I at least have that I can call NAPA and should be able to get them with no problems. I"m going to but in all 16 then I shouldn't have any more problems I hope!! And having the right adjustment insted of so tight.

The NAPA number for '56 and later engines is 215-4048.  The number for the '54-'55 engines is 215-4041, about .185" longer, probably because of the splash shields under the rocker stands on the early engines.

Was wondering is anybody might have a part number for replacement push rods from NAPA. Do they have just one type?? I have a rebuilt motor with about 350 miles on it and had a slight ticking sound. I pulled the valve covers off and found a bent push rod on number #1 cylinder exhaust valve. I think what I'll do is buy all 16 and then I know what I've got. I imagin the more has the originals put back in for the rebuild. Something else thats kind of wierd too is the lash, I just checked a couple of them and their very tightly set at .015 insted of .019 where I like to keep them at. The motor doesn't have a big lumpy cam just a stock one with 1:43's. The tight setting might be why I've got a bent rod though.
