I was able to get an Allen wrench in the forward one but decided to use an extra mechanical gauge and went with a tee which I had too. Trying the rear one over all the PS parts would have been a pita. Didn’t want to screw anything up. A week under the car was enough this time…thanks everyone…

I used two different holes, one for the idiot light and the other for the electric oil pressure gauge. The sender does not have to be upright, can be at an angle - that is what I did with mine to get clearance..

Ok that makes sense, I do have a tee with the copper line for the oil gauge and the sender for the oil light

I like electric gauges and have very good luck with them in other applications. Their sender is always large and I thought if the front plug was oil I could screw in a 45* fitting and have the feed from there without the weight. A metal or even those plastic lines are not a concern. That’s it..

I'm curious, why don't you want a tee for a light and gauge?

The question is so I don’t want a tee in the line for a gauge and indicator light. I’m aware of the casting plugs and ones used in the manufacturing of the blocks. I’m currently under the engine with an oil pump problem and saw the small Allen socket plug and thought what’s this, can I use it, and have others here done something for 2 different lines…. Thanks.

theres 4 or 5 ina row plus a bigger one in the front.they can be hard to get out without heat.

I second that, Paul. It should be the plug for the oil galley that runs the length of the block on the driver's side.

Is it located in the oil galley line? There are a number of threaded, plugged holes that coincide with the side oil galley. Should be all oil.
