That car is absolutely beautiful!

Your dad had a good eye for detail and a very defined sense of taste.

Here is a photo of the interior.

I brought the car over to my shop two days before the funeral.  Checked the tire date codes and they were manufactured in 2009.  Day before the funeral. I putting new rubber all the way around.  A couple of days after the funeral, I did an oil change with a new filter.  Car had only been driven 300 miles since the last oil change in 2021.  If all goes as planned, I'm taking the old Ford out next Saturday to the local All Ford gathering.  Will probably ask my son to drive my Mustang out there and make a day of it!

Greetings:
First, allow me to apologize for the lag in responding to my thread.  Things got pretty wild earlier in the year.  My dad put up one heck of a fight with dementia but unfortunately, he passed away on August 2, 2025.
His granddaughter insisted that I drive his car to the funeral.  We parked it right behind the hearse and it followed the hearse to the cemetery.  Here are a couple of photos I took on the morning of his funeral.

I have a few more photos to post and some stories to tell of just getting the car ready to drive to the funeral.  More to follow:

Jerry.
Welcome to the site.  For everyone else, here’s a picture of the car that Jerry had sent to me when looking to join the site.  Great looking Thirty-Nine.

Welcome.  Sounds like you won't have to worry about brakes at all.  What Transmission does it have?

Keep the valves adjusted right and drive it as much as you can.  Maybe bring your dad for a ride, if you think it will be a good idea.

I can't wait to see the pics.

As for brakes……..
Front has 66 Dodge Dart Disc Rotors and 4 pot calipers off a Mustang. They are mounted to the original spindles and front wishbone suspension.
Rear are drum brakes on a 9 inch Ford rear axle with parallel leaf suspension.
Master cylinder is dual reservoir mounted in the stock location under the floor.
