Not my engine but trying to help a guy that has a 368. What would be a good way to add PCV to a mid-50's Lincoln Y Block? Are there any companies that would sell a kit like CASCO does?

No road draft tube?  The picture makes it look like just an exposed slot at the back of the valley cover for venting purposes.

The way I would go about it is basically the same as the FYB.

The road draft tube is located @ the front of the engine. The valley cover is the same basic design as the FYB. You would simply modify the valley pan as the FYB PCV COVER (rear valve mount) and supply the vacuum signal with a carb spacer with vacuum tube outlet.

The front mounted oil filler/road draft tube would be modified (using expansion plug to block open road draft tube) to make the actual road draft tube non-functional but to still have the filler tube for function/appearance.

This is exactly what I told the owner - I do not know of any off the shelf kit or if Ford ever had a PCV valve from the factory like they did for Ford Y Blocks in the 60's.

The PCV SYSTEM was introduced on the 1960 model run (CA). FYB (not all) got it but I believe the LYB (302-332 TRUCK) stayed with rear mounted road draft until retirement.

I don't have an answer for adding a PCV valve to the Lincoln Y-block but would like to mention or question a coupe of things.  On the Ford Y the crankcase vapors exit through the port on the valley cover which has a well designed baffle under that port. The port on the Lincoln valley cover is where atmospheric air enters the engine. I'm wondering if there is any kind of baffle in that area?  I would also guess the oil filler cap on the Lincoln Y is not vented so if the road draft tube at the fromt of the engine was blocked, a vented filler cap would be needed for air to enter at this point as on a Ford y.  If in case I don't have a proper understanding of the Lincoln vent system, please accept my apologies.
