Are you describing something similar to these inline canister filters, but want a metal slimline inline filter?

Thanks Ted and Kultulz.  Ted I should have explained more to what Iam attempting to do.  Planning on using a Ford VR S/C. Fab a bracket in front of the tank (57 Ranchero) for electric FP, but only have room for small inline filter. Added a return line.  Iam admiring  the fuel line in your pic. Those tight bends are hard to make with hand bender and make they start and stop where you want.  Kultulz   Probably will use  the repo canister type after regulator  (like real F-code).  A Motorcraft FG-851 filter might work but suspect it is 3/8  size. If in and out are (3/8") inverted (female) might  be able to use a short (5/8) of 3/8 tube for nut to center on and sweat a 5/16 into it. Sorry for long reply

Hold on a minute, Can you describe what you are wanting to do?

You're wanting to use a S/C (57 OEM setup) on a FYB but want an electric pump? Full pressure, transfer (through mechanical pump) or primer?

Be careful on the repro canister filter as I heard they leak at the canister.

Hello  Yes  Electric (14 psi) at tank with filter (?) before pump. Stock line to front, short stock type rubber to three port  regulator. Rubber hose from regulator bypass to return line back to tank. Fuel regulator is where stock FP was. Fuel line  leaves regulator (like stock F-code) with canister type filter before carb. If i cannot find a filter that fits  before FP may skip it and go straight from tank to pump. Thanks for comments

Just a thought ...

If planning to use the ELECT PUMP as a pressure or transfer (gravity drop), the before pump filter rating should be no larger that 10 microns.

Then 100 microns before the carb/throttle body.
