If the heads and intake are EDB parts they're also rare, and valuable.

It is the s/c only and belt,no brackets or acc. He said he has no idea what happened to the car. I was down lastnite to pickup the other parts, heads, pistons, rods, intakes, but still hasnt found the s/c. Seems like pretty decent guy,but the garage isnt all that big,so having doubts if it will produce or not. Going back down wed nite to get another block he had buried under a work bench. Will post back w/findings. Larry

Larry, To answer the question, If it's a real VR57, it's worth every bit of $500 and considerably more. Get the brackets and pulleys and air cleaner if she has them. In other words, get all of it. You'll make money on that deal. Ditto with the car, restored, original F code T'Birds have sold for $100,000 to $150,000. The markets down some now, but they're still worth money.

Larry;Yes, welcome here.. Old Mic is on to something. If the 57 T Bird still exists, it's an "F" code car, & there were only slightly over 200 units built. Returning it to original would make it a very valuable car!

Larry-See if your guy knows if the woman still has the 57 T Bird (or can track it down) that originally had the Paxton. I would be interested in both the car and your unit. Oldmics

I'd be interested in the Paxton too. I can't give you a price RANGE SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE ALWAYS CRAZY HIGH. Ask if he has any of the tbird brackets and associated parts, that's also rare and what I really need(want). Let me know if you get it.

Larry, welcome to the site, I also have a 61 F250 Unibody, ( 2 of them in fact both with yblocks) If you have any questions on them, give me a shout. I know others here also on the site has a lot of experiance with unibodys, if you happens to be one. Biggest problem with those trucks is rear end gearing, usually 4:56's that 55-60mph is about tops on it. Michael

Larry. Welcome to the site. You’ll find it to be a great place to both ask for and give out information. And congratulations on your find. That collection of parts sounds like a great way to dive into the Y engine.
