First of all Ranat1's question got lost in the fire and brimstone that followed Rich's posting, we should recognize that was a legitmate question and I hope we didn't put him off. There are several guys regularly reading these threads who have reasonably souped up T birds including me. I think your program for your car sounded pretty OK. I sort of took Rich at his word but maybe it was just a hoax, it was fun to respond to though. But reading through that thread raises the question, does anyone know of a Y in a Scrub especially a 55 -57 scrub? That would be something to bring to Columbus!!

I have never ran across one, but earlier this week I stopped at the Flying J on the way home from work. I noticed three nice looking cars in the parking lot along with a second gen 55 scrub pickup. After I pumped my fuel, I made a wide loop through the parking lot just to get a closer look, and noticed that the pickup had "Fordolet" painted on the tailgate. I had to stop then! Walked up and told the guy what a nice looking ride he had and asked about the engine. He was happy to pop the hood and show off the late model 5.0, it looked like a factory install! Bone stock from a late model mustang. He said that he used everything from the mustang and only had to run a couple of wires to hook up the electronics. I am sure that he'll get a lot of attention at Cruzing the Coast this week.

A few years ago there was a chevy monza (I think) at EXPO, running a 385 series Ford engine. Word was he had a little trouble getting it through the gate. John in Selma, IN

Back in the 70's there was an early style (55-57) Vette Gasser running at the New England Dragway, Eping, NH. One day he lined up against a 55 scrub for final eliminator. The announcer said that it was a classic C#$Y against C*#Y run off. When the Vette destroyed the 55 and came back down the return road he stopped, climbed the stairs to the tower and announced "That Vette has a FORD engine". Later pit snooping showed he had a SOHC in it! The next week he came back but now had a very larger FORD blue oval on the trunk lid of the old Vette. Anybody got access to an old Vette race car CHEAP? Chuck in NH
