Any of you fellows have, or know of one for sale, a water pump pulley like the one pictured here? At least I hope the picture made it. This one is on a friends 312 in a 39 Ford street rod and it originally came off of a "59" 292 he thinks. I believe the part number is B5A 8509-F. 6.30" OD, 2.40" depth, 1/2" sheave width. Thanks

A 57 and 58 truck has turned up at a local pull-a-part yard.  I'm going to check them out.  Probably won't be until next weekend.  If one is there I can pull it.

Charlie, I tried to PM you, but for some reason I can't get it too go through. Take your camera when you go to pull-a-part and if the truck has any decent sheet metal let me know. In regard to the pulley, I have several truck pulleys, but I have never seen one that looks like yours, unless it is two pulleys stacked together. If it is just the single grove inner pulley that you need, I just pulled one this morning.

After looking at the picture again, I have never seen one like this, I don't think its from a Y Block unless it came from an aftermarket A/C kit.

Hello Newbie,

I just had a look at my parts book. That particular pulley was used on 55 -57 Y-block for A/C.Its the only one listed with that 2.40 depth. There a couple of others similar but they are 2.46 depth which I guess sits back a little further. This is a single pulley stacked on top of the stock one.Thats going to be a hard one to find.Good luck.Regards,Mark

Will do, Glen. Is there any part in particular that you need. You can see prices at www.pull-a-part.com. As long as I have enough cash in the bank and room to bring it back, I'll get what you need.

Thanks Charlie, a buddy of mine has a 58 and he is always looking for "stuff", just though that I would pass info along to him if it looks like it would be worth a trip to "Hotlanta". We have a local Pull-A-Part and you can find some good deals there if you check them everyday or so.
