I put new head gaskets on my 272 y block and the engine runs fine but am i supposed to retorque them? I accidentally but a cheaper gasket set made by roll but the head gasket was not a thin metal one it was composit

It's not a bad idea to re-torque any head gasket, even the ones that say no re-torque necssary.
