This wheel and "emergency spare" tire are supposedly from a late(r) Mercury Marquis. 15 inch wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 pattern. I've been looking for a match for a long time - anyone have a lead?

I can't help you with that one, but I've been using one out of (I think) an Aerostar.  It's a 16 inch, with a narrow, low profile tire on it, drilled for at least 2 bolt patterns.  It clears the disc brakes front and rear, and is about 25 inches tall, so it's a come home, not a driver.
