I have a sent on the left side of my tail light on my rear fender of my 1955 ford is the best way to pound it out by taking the light assembly off the fender and put a dolly on the outside of the dent and hit it with a hammer where the light goes in the fender?

Timmy, you need to post some pictures so we can look at whats going on because it is hard to say how to fix the dent. The way you described is one way to repair a dent but may not be the way you need to use.Dont want to give you bad info.
