SORRY CHARLIE ;  I do not find "add topic" or the group of numbers ...  (My mature mind) ... I sent a note to the administrator and got , NO reply ... send me an e-mail please and Thankyou .... alanb@i10net.com  I have a few old waterpump #no's , still in the box .  By the way , another Charlie , owner of the Yellow Brick ask me to sign up  !! .....  ALAN B.

For new posts, the ADD TOPIC button is located just to the right of the ADD REPLY button.  These buttons along with the ADD POLL button are situated in a horizontal row on the left side at both the top and bottom of the forum page.  Not sure what group of numbers you are referring to though which is probably a clue that something else is wrong.  Hope this helps but there’s a chance your browser settings are not allowing all the buttons to be properly displayed.

IM LOOKING FOR A REBUILT WATERPUMP THAT IS ON A 1955 FORD TRUCK WITH A 272. THIS ONE HAS A MOUNT ON IT FOR THE FAN TO SLIDE. CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT WITH A SOURCE. A KIT WOULD PROBABLY BE OK TOO.

Howdy Dan

You need a "High Mount" pump. I bought one from Rock Auto about 6mo ago.

There's not a lot of those pumps left out there. They need cores and most people are not returning the cores so the actual number is dwindling.

Here's examples:

the following is for a 1955 F-series 272

A-1 CARDONE Part # 58234 3/4" Bearing Shaft Exc. High Mount Fan Bracket; From Serial #16001

A-1 CARDONE Part # 58235 5/8" Bearing Shaft Exc. High Mount Fan Bracket; To Serial #16000

A-1 CARDONE Part # 58233 High Mount Fan Bracket

you might want to talk to them about it. The prices are less than about $50 (incl sh)

regards,

Rick

I'LL SEE IF I CAN GET A CASTING NUMBER OFF OF THE OLD ONE. I DID GET A COUPLE NUMBERS FROM NAPA [55-503 AND 58-233] BUT THEY NO LONGER HAVE THEM IN THERE SYSTEM.

55 and up passenger car water pump rebuild kit might fit there: I am not absolute sure about it, but I can check it tomorrow, I have couple of those pumps and also passenger car water pump rebuild kit. Kit part number is B5A-8591-C. Mac´s Antique Auto Parts have them.
