i'm lookin for a flywheel for my 57 312.

i'm on a low budget project here, and i can't spend the $$ for shipping.

if i see a Y flywheel thru local classifieds or swap meet, what do i need to check?

teeth count, diameter, is year application 56-64, is there a part # stamped on it somewhere?

my engine came with a flexplate and i'll hang on to that until i figure out what this will go into.

thanks

Teeth count for the car and pickup flywheels are the same but there are at least a couple of pressure plate sizes so you’ll need to watch out for that especially if you already have a pressure plate in hand.  Either pressure plate size will work as long as you have the corresponding pressure plate and clutch disk to go with your flywheel.  Hope that helps.

Davis,

Tim and I have a number of machined surface stock flywheels with both the 10 and 11 inch clutch bolt patterns.  We are south of Fresno and travel to SoCal quite often.  Perhaps we can help you.  Please email if you are interested.

Good luck with your project...........
