ejstith (1/4/2009) I think this picture insert is a pain too. I have never been able to post a picture on here. Where is says "Insert Image" there is a URL thingy. It should be to where there is a way to get one off of one's PC picture file and just upload it. (See the HAMB website). Much simpler. I don't even have any success changing fonts, colors etc with this. If I hit the font color thing it just asks for some color code. If I hit "bold" it puts the [B] in the front and back of the text then a message comes up saying there is basically nothing between the [B]'s. I'm not a webmaster by any means but this should not be this hard to do.This is the same problem that I have. Apparently its not my computer but a glitch in the software????. This reminds me a problem with pictures and replies back a number of years ago (I couldn't do either). Turns out it was some glitch in the software, a few adjustments by Jim???? and everything was ok. I have no problems uploading pictures in HAMB, ebay and some others which have the "Browse" function as a way of loading pics right off my computer, as well as various software I have on my own computer which also uses the same "browse" function.

Guys. This is as good as it gets for the time being. Being a no cost site, there’s simply no finances to get outside resources to look at the known issues. Granted that the Java Script editor not being right (a known problem) could potentially be part of the problem, I don’t have access to the code and therefore I’m clueless on how to get that part fixed as Java Script editor issues in themselves inhibits certain functions on the site for myself. I’m just about as computer illiterate as the rest of you but given enough time with some code sitting in front of me in written form, I can usually figure it out. Especially if I have a Rosetta stone sitting next to whatever I'm working on. But the ‘insert image’ thing does work for myself and others so this is not an across the board issue. Unfortunately there are just too many different operating systems out there with their own specifics for browser settings which makes it difficult to troubleshoot problems that do not show up across the board. Through trial and error, I’ve readjusted my own browser settings to optimize my own computers performance and this doesn’t by any means make me any kind of webmaster. Just remember to take notes when readjusting any settings so you can put them back where they were if need be. The alternative option for picture posting is to simply use an outside photo hosting account such as Photobucket and go that route.

Ted: Here we go again. This free website. Yeah, it's wonderful, and Jim doesn't know how much he's appreciated. But, if it takes a little money to hire someone to evaluate this picture issue, then let us each kick in a few bucks and "git 'er done". We've been freeloading for years now, and Jim won't let us help, maybe we can help in this way. I don't know anything about pictures on computers, but I'll still help. Any idea how much money would be needed? If a handful of Y guys can raise $4000 for our shootout, without hurting anyone financially, then the bigger base of participants on this site should have no problem with raising the funds. Count me in for something. John

JohnMe too ... I give 50 bucks a year to be an Alliance member of the HAMB and I'd do the same here to be a Yblock member.
