I live in West Virginia and I'm looking for a regional chrome plater that can do bumpers, valve covers, front grills and the front park light housings, I found one in Tennessee but they are not sure they can do the grill and the park light housings.

I would appreaciate any input.

Thanks,

Mike

MG: What is the vehicle? Possibly it's the size of the grill. Are the parking light housings badly pitted? If so chroming won't cover the pits. If they are pewter cast, you will have to find someone who can repair them, & it's a specialized craft.. In some cases better to find ones in better shape or reproductions if available.. ??

Actually my park light housings are in excellent condition, I found a grill on ebay to replace mine but I would still like to have just the grill rechromed, rust is setting in and I would like to have a spare.

This brings up a problem I have had that may apply:

I send my front bumper and guards to separate chrome shops for straightening/re-plating. When I reassembled the finished parts, the guards would not sit flush against the bumper. While I have to admit that I never really noticed how well they fit before I sent them off, I SHOULD have had them ground/custom-fitted together BEFORE plating! If I grind on them now (or over-tighten the mounting bolts to draw them flush) the chrome may crack or rust.
