In issue #74 of YBM, Jeff Cooper discusses the Firing Orders of Ford Flat Heads & Y-Blocks, vs SBC & other firing orders... Then in the Fall 2006 issue of Hot Rod's, Do It Your Self series, an extensive article on Firing Orders & the 4/7 Cam swaps. A diagram shows the early small Ford V-8s & some other Ford engines to  "effectively" have the same firing order as the Gen.#1 SBC. ( I wasn't clear even with the diagram..??) However, I think the article ignores the Flat Head & Y- Block. Am I correct?  Also the YBM article lists a Gen #1 SBC firing order which does not agree with Hot Rods.. I'm confused !
