Charlie and Tim cant have all the fun.  This morning while still in bathrobe I noticed a new advertisement for Ford 312 G heads with Titanium keepers, $150 and local.  Spilled part of the coffee going for the phone.  Met the seller 45 minutes later and looked the heads over.  They had a lot of surface rust from sitting in the trunk of a non runner for years.  No G but 113s.  Single springs with dampers, and aluminum one piece keepers.  Exhaust ports had been opened up for headers.   With $130 less in my pocket loaded them up and headed home.

After blasting the carbon and rust away, wow w00t !  A full port job on intake and exhaust, with smoothed combustion chambers.  All valves were good, guides are suspect, and there may be hardened exhaust seats.

This makes up for my machinist telling me two days ago that the ECR A heads were both cracked and junk.
