Looks Great!  Yes, release the pressure and let it rest on the pins.

Well, it arrived this morning!! Here's some pics.

The wood inside is in pretty good shape. Came with heavy duty jacks. I was wondering, after I jack up the roof, do I put the pins in all 4 posts, then release the pressure on the hydraulic jack? This would also even out the roof. I think it's gonna be a great unit for us. Cheers.

Yes, I have the icebox but it is out in the garage and I use an ice chest when we go camping. I like the storage space with it out and I can move the chest around easier.

We do sleep across the bed and I do have another cushion to make it king sized. I'm pretty sure I found a club on line once, I did find a site for the "Alsakan" and the history on them. There used to be a yearly get together in Jackson, WY  maybe there still is.

That looks awsome inside! Does it have an icebox?? Do you lay sideways on the bed? Is there another cushion that goes towards the front?  I've had a few of these old birch trailers and really like them. Do you know if there's a website for an Alaskan club?? Like to see more pics of the different styles. I'm sure mine will be different than yours being 10 years newer.

Love this pic!

Mine is a '58 and we love it, not a lot of space but it does the job. Wink Lots of fun! Looks like that is an eight footer, Steve "63 alaskan" has one like it and I think he is pretty happy.

Can't wait to see some picture of the inside. Smile Here's what Mine looks like. We had six people in it one time to watch a movie, that was cozy.  Wink

I have an article about one of our excursions that should be in YBM soon, hope you guys enjoy it.

I've been after one of these for a couple years now as they're extremely hard to find up here. I wanted something old school and something a little more aerodynamic than a full size camper. A couple summers ago, my Wife and I had our 21 ft. trailer jack knife on us in a windstorm and were lucky to walk away. I do have a 14 ft. older trailer that we take camping now and then but I find that any little wind gust that catches it gets the heart pumping, so wanted an alternative.

This one's a 1967 model. Not sure what year yours is Tim but was wondering how you like it for camping? It's definately going to be a bit more cramped than a trailer but I'm sure we can get used to that. Anyway, will post more pics when it arrives. Can't wait.
