I've been following the wildfires down under.  Best wishes extended to the many devastated people.  I see that  an arsonist has been charged for starting at least one of the fires.

Lon, it sure is a sad time for those folks loss of friends, familys and homes. To add to that think of the car collections like we have that occupy most of your life being burned to the ground also, i know of 2 people whose lifes collection of cars  were lost to the fires also. Best wishes for them all. Aussie bill.

Out here on the east coast, most of the coverage I have heard has only been on the radio - nothing much in the TV news about it.

Our prayers are with you all - at times like these, we are reminded how precious life is.

Lon, this has been all over the Canadian news, and my heart and prayers go out to ALL Aussies affected by this! I'm just glad to hear that this has happened far from you and Lynne! Take care my friend!

I love the smell of burning rubber in the morning!

I know this is way off topic ,but I think it deserves a mention . As most of you know ( Victoria ) Australia has just had the worst bushfires in history .1000 homes( approx ) have been lost . Death toll is 181 . Expected to rise to 300 .Almost 900,000 acres have been burnt .One koala ( named Sam ) ,and one volenteer firefighter has been made world famous  .Thank you to everyone around the world for your support , well wishes  and prayers .Its hard to watch the news without getting a tear in your eye ,seeing what fellow Aussies have gone through .
