With two 12 packs of Miller's finest onhand, you should have it running by sundown. Good looking motor, I've got to do something with all of the FE's that I have collected one of these days.

A little update. I have a 390 built and almost ready to go into my F-350. It has the same cam grind as my 313 Y in the F-100 and of course I have solid lifters and adj. rockers because I just love valve noise. I also have a T-5 ready to bolt up so I can have an O/D when the truck is on the road.

Just thought I'd add, Charlie and I pulled the plugs, shot some oil, and tried to turn her over yesterday. Wouldn't budge! Two cylinders are rusted solid. We even tried to pull it in forth with Charlies tractor to break it loose, no go! Oh well. I had planed on making a 390 out of it anyway. Next step is to pull the engine and trans, clean up the frame and shoot some paint on it. Then I plan on taking the cab home, strip it and make it look new. It's easy to say but I suspect it will take some time. I did get the springs back in their seats at least. watch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpwYXuwTY4I&feature=channel_page

Glen Henderson (2/22/2009) Looks like alot of my projects, but like my old grandpa used to say, "Boy you got to have vision". I've got a 66 F250 that I've been thinking about putting on a a later model F350 chassis with a 7.3 powerstroke. Would make a nice tow truck.Good idea Glen, at one time I found an '86 F350 with a 6.9 and no bed, I thought about putting a '58 cab on that. I don't like the old "six nine" that much though and to build a powerstroke was just not in the budget.

CEREAL KILLER (2/22/2009) WHOA, what's with the right front spring (picture #3) hanging out there, Looks a little dangerous. The spring has just popped out of its seat, did you see the rest of the truck? I think that is the least of my things to be sorted out before this thing hits the road. Bill, I was told it was a 352 but but if it is a 390, Great! I have already thought about this and if it is a 352 now it's gonna be a 390 when I'm done.

Hi tim. enjoy your engine building expeirence and tips, the truck looks like a winner! could the engine be 390 instead of 352? bit hard to see real clearly but valve covers look more like 390 galaxie? perhaps. Would be bonus if so. just thought id ask. Best regards, Aussie Bill.
