the bushing is for the temp sender. its located in the head. need to remove it. made a adapter for my slide hammer but its stuck in there pretty good. unless theres a better way im fixin to break out the torch.

The TBird parts suppliers have a tool for removing the bushing. I got one and it worked very good. I got mine from CASCO www.classicbird.com . Maybe a little pricey at 15.75, but it pulls the plug out with no sweat. Part number TL5 (55/56) or TL6(57)
