I've wanted to get this done for quite some time but somehow it stayed on the back burner.

The rear is held in place with a clip. I got this idea from Steve (az28). I saw it in a picture of his in the throttle linkage post. He said he found them at a hardware store. I didn't find anything I liked near me so I made one out of aluminum.







Here's the tool I devised. A couple pieces of 16 gauge steel with 3/16" rod welded at the very end. It worked very well. Sandwich a strip of aluminum between the two halves, tap it with a hammer to form the first bend, clamp it all together, tap the rest around. I use 3003 aluminum for stuff like this. It's very easy to work with. I have a piece of .050" sheet laying around.







To finish the bending, fit it onto a piece of 3/16" rod and bring it around by hand. In fact, if your big and beefy, unlike myself, it can probably be done completely by hand.







From there, you just trim it up, drill the hole, and square it up with a file.



It holds the line securely in place.
