I just looked for ya, it says Polyurethane Based paints will generally adhere as long as the herculiner is roughed up properly and adhered properly. I really don't see you having to rough it up though if that's the texture you're wanting. I was worried it'd be too rough, but it's really growing on me, when that new engine goes in i'm sure it's gonna look perfect. You can tell I didn't coat the suspension parts, for obvious reasons. Once it's hidden, GONNA BE SWEET!!!
ALSO!!! Here in FL we have LOVEBUG SEASON 2 times a year.. Well for those who don't know what they are, they are the most annoying useless bugs ever, and they apparently are ATTRACTED to the smell of HERCULINER. BC in a matter of 30 minutes of application, thousands... AND I LITERALLY MEAN THOUSANDS of lovebugs kept trying to land in the liner. So It got to a point I just had to roll over them and pray it still adheres (the chemicals in the bug can corrode paint, so i hope it doesn't mess up the liner)
But I couldn't go back bc once you start you're supposed to lay down 2 layers, i only got down like one and a half :-(
I will say it went on easy though, if it gets on you you're screwed though, it won't come off!!!
Prep was tedious and a pain, but that's bc i stripped down and primed it then sanded again... BUT APPLICATION, even in the tight spots was much better than i'd expect. If it wasn't for the lovebugs i'd have had it ALL DONE and it woulda been perfect i'm sure..

They say that you can, but it's not recommended..If you remind me later i'll run out and get my instructions, it says on there what kind of paint is best.... Here's one more shot at this.. these ones you shoudl be able to enlarge and see better http://i521.photobucket.com/albums/w337/Apache3359/HERCULINER/IMG_9291-1.jpg http://i521.photobucket.com/albums/w337/Apache3359/HERCULINER/IMG_9332-1.jpg http://i521.photobucket.com/albums/w337/Apache3359/HERCULINER/IMG_9342-1.jpg
