I appreciate the info guys.I think it's the taller window.as long as it's a Ford windshield,I could use it or sell it.he did send me a picture and it looked like it was tinted green.will take my new rubber seal with me and try to put it on. thanks again.

As far as I know ,the only difference would be in height ??? Could you not measure the windshield ( middle ) to see if it was for a 4 door or 2 door ???? Yes, they are slightly different in the width, but the main difference is in height (approx 2 inches ) .Hope this helps .

There are 2 windshield sizes for 55/56. Unless it is Ford OEM it will be tough to determine which it is by part no. Clear and tinted is a different part no. too. I have 3 1956 Customlines with windshields, but it would be difficult to measure without knowing what the difference might be. I would assume it to be in the height, but that is only a guess.

I need a windshield for my 56 customline 2dr sedan. the old one got broke a long time ago and got thrown away.before I order a new one,a guy on craigslist advertised one for a"50's" ford.his friend works at a glass shop and picked it up cheap.evidently someone ordered it and never picked it up.he wants $150 for it [ithink he'll take less]he says it is for a 55 ford ,but isn't positive.the problem is ,he's 120 miles away.he sent a picture to me and it looks like the right one.but how can you measure it to see if it's the one I need? all I have is car with no window and there's no way to accuratly measure it. any ideas? I do know that there are 2 windshields for the 55 and 56. one fits sedans & wagons ,the other is narrower and is for hardtops, crowns,& ragtops.
