Christmas came real early this year!

Has anyone used that 500 deg clear coat made by duplicolor. Does it work well? I'd like to clear coat the aluminum.

It is the 318 stroker kit from John Mummert!  3.47 stroke, 3.82 bore.  The box identifies the rods as 6.200" length, 2" big end chevrolet rods.  This is by memory.  I'm not near the parts at the time.  The pistons are forged.  They feel lighter than the 3.81" forged pistons that I had in the engine.

I was going to try to find a 312 crank and modify it for the 292 block, using prepped C2AE rods and custom pistons but the stroker wasn't much more.

I had talked with Mummert a few months back about the stroker kit and was under the impression that he used Ross pistons. I was suprised to see the Probe box. I still plan on ordering a kit, just waiting for the old wallet to fill up. Good luck on your engine.

The pistons seem to be excellent quality.  The machinist and a guy who runs a blown alcohol dragster agree.  They use double spyrolocks.

Try Spouce-B-Gone spouce spray.

I got my 56 Victoria because I was telling my wife I was gonna get a 850 Snortin' Norton.  She said why don't you get that old Ford like you had in high school.  Damn, that's agreat idea I says.

You gotta have the right tools and know how to use 'em.

Tom...

Your ploy of telling the wife that your looking at a 850 Snort'n Norton, is like my telling the wife I need parts for the Triumph chopper, she always asks, Don't I need parts for the 57 or the 63.. ??

Not sure I could get her to go for the Christmas package above though..

Besides its easier than taking her gator fishing in Lousy anna..

Brother and I own/operate 1957 Ford Fairlane 312/4x2 and two 1963 Falcons 302 rollers carburated 600cfm, FE427 sitting in shed..
