I did some scrounging at a local junkyard and found a 57 F350 or could be larger with a V8,I have heard the trucks 55 to 57? retained the smaller motors of previous years so would it be a 272 or 292.

My Bone stock 57 truck I picked up had the 272 with the earlier 55-56 loadomatic and carb which I thought they should have at least updated that.

The 57 truck I was looking at had a more modern style holley 2 bbl and intake and not the old 94 style carb.

I picked up a running 272 from a 58' 1/2 ton, & it had the 471 heads on it... Don't pass on a motor opportunity without decoding it first. Look at John Mummert's site, or Tim Mcmaster's site for some great casting info & locations.
