Today I got the rollmaster installed in the truck. I took the time to first degree the stock silent chain to see where it was before pulling it.
The result is the Isky E-4 installed on the stock marks & 15 year old chain with about 20-25k miles was actually on a 110 degree intake CL. So, 2 degrees Retarded.
I installed the Rollmaster & indexed it's adjustable keywayed gear to give 4 degrees advance to the cam.
I rechecked the setup & dead nuts 104 degree intake center line! I will have gained an effective 6 degrees advance over what the worn chain was providing.
I am stoked. May I remind you all this is a truck, with ported C1TE's from when I was younger & had access to a dremell that I shouldn't have!! I am sure the port volume's are all over the charts, & not to mention I just flat out made them bigger almost everywhere.... Not good for low end..
By the time I get the ECZ-G's back from the shop, I should get the dynamic compression to come in around 7.6 or so with the latest cam phasing & the tighter chambers... Unfortunately the block was not Zero decked back then, so the compression will be what it is, but an improvement none the less!
Trying to add some pics... May take me a try or two...
