Bill I "THINK" the front clip is the same 57/60, only changing the grill and front part of the hood. I have never done it, but I don't see why it want work. My stepdad had a 57, I always though the 57 with single headlights looked the best.

This is a post from another site I visit but it sums it up pretty good, from Col. Flashman.

No, the '57-'58 F/M-series trucks will swap perfectly between themselves & '59-'60 F/M-series trucks will swap perfectly between themselves, But not between the two Sets of Year Models.

The '57-'58s F/M-series trucks have the ROUND Turn Signals, the Wider Lower Fender section for the Round T/S, Taller Grille, Narrower Grille/Vallance set-up & Shallow Peak Hood.

The '59-'60s F/M-series trucks have the RECTANGULAR Turn Signals, Narrower Lower Fenders for the Rectangular T/S, Shorter Grille, Wider Grille/Vallance set-up & Progresively Deeper Peak & Taller Upper Sections on the Hoods.

Because of these Body changes between year Sets, if one wishes to incorporate singular Front Cap parts from either of the 2 Year Sets, one has a Great deal of Body work ahead of themselves to do, because it will be necessary to either Fill-in the Gaps between the Sheet Metal or get rid of Sheet Metal no longer needed from the swap.

Plus the Peaks on the '59-'60 Hood are To Deep for a Proper fit w/ the '57-'58 Grilles, as they will not close or if one manages to force the fit, they'll Rub horridly.

The only way to avoid this is either to leave your truck the way it came out of the Factory or Swap-out the Complete Front Cap between the 2 Year Sets.

Bill,

For sure, all of the 57-60 hoods will interchange with 59 or 60 grilles.  The 57 and 58 hoods are identical.  The 59 and 60 hoods have a little bigger dip in the front where it comes down to meet the grille and might make contact with a 57 or 58 grille???  The 59 has a hole in the front for the FORD script and the 60 doesn't use the script.

All grilles are different of course, but they all have common mounting points on the fenders and are interchangeable as well.  I have only changed 57 and 58 grilles, but have seen lots of different combinations except 59 and 60 hoods on 57 and 58 grilles.

Are you staying with your 60 grille?  I think it looks great.  If you are staying with the 60 grille, all hoods will work.  If you use a 57 or 58 hood, there will be a larger space between the front of the hood and grille because those hoods are absolutely flat across the front.
